Proven Technology
The Kidd Process CSM is based on and utilizes many components of the highly successful Kidd Process Carousel CSM. All of the basic technologies employed in the Carousel CSM were transferred directly to the new generation, but they were rearranged in such a way as to provide a machine that is at once:
- Smaller
- Easier and less expensive to install
- Mechanically simpler
- Easier to access for maintenance personnel
- More pre-assembled
- More flexible to fit into a variety of plant configurations
Practical Robotics
The new generation Kidd Process is the first CSM in the world to employ highly reliable and well proven robotics in the tankhouse environment. While relatively new to the copper industry, robotics are extremely common in the automotive industry. Typical robots now offer MTBF of 60,000 hours, and a very robust network of customer service and support personnel.
