Anode Preparation:

Designed for medium capacity electro-refining copper plants, the Ionic Anode Preparation system is a small footprint linear system, with available capacities from 150 to 350 anodes per hour.
  • Anode inspection - weight, thickness, and taper
  • Lug straightening - vertical and horizontal
  • Lug milling - flat or adjustable taper
  • Anode body pressing - 7 point, to 350 ton
  • Anode rejection
  • Anode spacing - walking beam or chain conveyor style

The system is has some key advantages over conventional carousel style anode - small footprint, mechanical simplicity, and modular, flexible design which permits the addition of additional operation stations at a later date.

Ionic is presently developing a variant on this system which increases total system capacity to 500 anodes per hour - suitable for the largest electro-refining plants in the world. Please contact us for more details.

Cathode Stripping

Ionic Engineering is an approved manufacturer for the Falconbridge Kidd Process - Robotic Cathode Stripping System. With two systems shipped in 2005 this system represents a leap in technology for cathode stripping process.
